A slower itinerary
Arrive in Kochi and journey through winding roads lined with waterfalls, spice plantations, and lush green hills. Reach Munnar, Kerala's iconic hill station, and spend the evening surrounded by cool mountain air and endless tea estates.
Today is dedicated to Kerala's most picturesque hill station. Explore Eravikulam National Park (subject to seasonal access), Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and the Tea Museum. Enjoy the slow rhythm of mountain life with plenty of time for photography and local cafés.
Travel through cardamom hills to Thekkady, home to the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Visit aromatic spice plantations and enjoy an optional cultural evening featuring Kerala's traditional Kathakali dance or Kalaripayattu martial arts.
Leave the hills behind as you head towards Kerala's serene backwaters. Spend the afternoon enjoying the tranquil beauty of Alleppey with an optional houseboat cruise or a relaxing shikara ride through palm-lined canals.
Travel to Kerala's famous beach destination. Relax on Kovalam Beach, watch fishermen at work, or simply enjoy the soothing sound of the Arabian Sea. The evening is yours to unwind.
After breakfast, drive to the southernmost tip of mainland India. Visit the iconic Vivekananda Rock Memorial, the towering Thiruvalluvar Statue (subject to ferry operations), and witness the spectacular meeting point of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean. Later, return to Trivandrum.
If time permits, visit the magnificent Padmanabhaswamy Temple (subject to temple timings and dress code) before your airport or railway station transfer. Your Velora journey concludes with unforgettable memories of misty hills, peaceful backwaters, and endless coastlines.
